Leila Zafar
Office Manager and Executive Officer

Leila works across all teams at Living Well to provide business support ensuring smooth and efficient organisational operations. This includes office and schedule management, HR, Health and Safety as well as events and project management. Leila has worked in operational roles across several sectors including the Arts, PR and Events.

Their favourite things to do are cooking, exploring, eating fizzy sweets and being around animals.

Mabel 1

Mabel Newman
Office and Project Assistant

Mabel has a background in medical contracts administration, and graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BA in English and Philosophy. She joined the Living Well Consortium in 2020, working within the Administration team to process client referrals in high volumes. As Office Assistant, Mabel works closely with the Executive Officer and Office Manager to provide administrative and operational support to the entire office team.  She is also assisting Evan Grant with his support of and advocacy for the VCSE sector.

Her favourite night of the year is Eurovision – she always throws a party based on the theme of the year!

Alex D'Silva
Project Assistant

Alex graduated from the University of Chester in 2013 with a BA hons in Events Management. Alex went on to work in operational events for 2 years, including weddings, charity and corporate events. They then took a career detour into the NHS and studied to become a Healthcare Assistant in general practice which sparked their love for helping people and their aptitude to empathise with people of all different ages and backgrounds after having dealt with their own long term chronic illness since a young age.

Alex joined Living Well Consortium in 2020 working within the Administration team to process client referrals in high volumes. Now, as Project Assistant, Alex works closely with the Office Manager and Executive Officer to implement a Selly Oak based wellbeing café for the local student community.

In 2015 Alex had major life saving bowel surgery to remove all of their large bowel. They now have a stoma named Flow and their partner can no longer blame them as the excuse for any funny noises or smells!
